[SOLVED] Sanctum Freezing

So recently i started to get the sanctum freeze every time i want to play on live version. The waiting is not the worst thing. After the freeze is over i get the red text inside the “.” menu and no portal to my last location. Restarting the client doesn’t fix this and the only way for me to play right now is to pay 100c every time i start the game (warping home with the conduits on the other side works).

This happens only on Live version.
Don’t know if it helps, but changing chunk cache size doesn’t help.

EDIT: A friend has suggestet me to disable the antivirus (avast in my case) and that seems to do the trick. No more freezing and instant connection.

Some problems getting into game

So recently I have been experiencing some weird problems getting into the game. I would get stuck in the sanctum because the portal wouldn’t open. Then it would be followed by a very long screen freeze and the HD appears to be writing to disk then when its done the screen will unfreeze, but the portal wouldn’t open. i do not know if this is related to per-pixel lighting but i myself have noticed a lot of gfx lag / slow chunk load with per-pixel on (this is the only GFX setting which makes any lag worse -for myself personally, maybe its to do with my card?)

the reason i am unsure of card or not is because this does not happen constantly - and my card is coping as it should

If you have an older GPU, then per-pixel lighting can be quite taxing on it.
