I saw what was done to Legendville mall. This is tragic.
We need to brainstorm as a community as to what can be done in the future to allow both those who want rules for plotting and those who don’t to coexist peacefully. I have a few thoughts. Starting a thread for it.
I agree whole heartedly. The game costs as much as Red Dead Redemption 2 right now.
Not that the game isn’t worth $40 to me (I think I paid $50 to pre order), but it’s a really tough sell to new folks. I think WS would sell three times as many copies of the game if it were half the current price. $19.99 is a major price point in many people’s minds.
I see this mentioned a lot, the price point is just a bit too high for some people, of course having a cheaper entry point will get more players in the game, I also think a PS4 free weekend or promo would help those who are on the fence because of the cost, it seems to have worked for the PC player base.
Ultimately to make this a popular game it needs to be affordable to the majority of casual players. If I was in charge of things , I would drop the Farming update, then do another free weekend on BOTH platforms, maybe even lower the base price a tad to make it more palatable.
In my opinion is that most people compare it too much with Minecraft. People abandon the tutorials right away and start messing around.
You could compare it with shooters. People from cod that go to battlefield often skip the tutorial. That’s I think the same with voxel games that look very similar.
I even noticed them completely ignoring the tooltips
I am in no way trying to cause issues but I’m curious how this is a troll if you are talking about the area where you point the sign toward. It looks like they wanted to build a road or something… So couldn’t you just work with them to complete the road and continue shops on each side? You still have space on the right for many shops and straight ahead. So I’m just curious… obvious it is a pain and forces the mall to adjust… but it isn’t a full block.
No, the mall has a 2 wide hallway, It can not turn right, I dont own that road. and if he wanted to hallway off, awesome, if it was to the side. Where his line of rocks are and The rd to the right. The mall is dead in its footsteps. It stopped further growth of the mall. This is clearly a troll beacon. I left signs and mailboxes. I would let him hallway straight left. No one contacted me, no one will i am pretty sure. James said it was a new acct from over the weekend. But all T6 rocks. and directly down the side of the plots i had for the hallway?
I have msged him several times.
Mall is for sale. I will close in a few weeks if no one buys.
Just checked it out. Did they plot across the the end where your hallway is or just that gleam road? Looks like 2 different people plotted the one side. Then a legend guy way down.
The road on the Right was always there. Thats Legends rd. I had 2 wide plotted way down but deleted last night. I capped the mall and put up for sale. Just too much drama. And the devs letting them know it’s ok.
I am here to have fun. So ill just go on to my next adventure/project.
i dont think that would help if they have sayed its within the CoC forming a mob shod not change that
yea the price is insanely high even during the free weekend when SE was haveing the sales shadow of the tomb raider was only 3$ more then boundless!
it is minecraft just with the ability to make blocks kind of not look like blocks just like how you sayed battlefield is CoD if you played one you are not going to have a hard time moveing to the other whats triping up people is the insane crafting times that minecraft des not have.
I can understand people have their own opinions, but do those people ever buy full priced games or never? I mean, for me it was 40 euros and in the PSN store AAA games start at 70, those still sell.
And honestly, I’ve put way, way, way more hours into Boundless than into most games, ever
I had a look too, if this is not griefing then what is??
I do like seeing more activity in the game. I notice an increase in players. Good thing.
Game price is too high for having a very limited content in game.
Especially with microtransactions in game, not a bad thing in this game. But usually this type game doesnt have such a high base price.
Bad thing. A free weekend in this game should have been thought out a lil better before hand.
Free players should have had limited beacon fuels. 3d-7d fuel only. With a purchase of the game being converted into 4w automatically.
Would have halted my issue and a few others I have seen people talk about.
Free weekend will end up helping the game in the long run. Just causes immediate issues.
I’m glad you’re not in charge because it would mean that the people who are craving new content will end up disappearing. I would be one of them for instance…
i bet and agin the devil that is minecraft is poping up again comparing it to that when minecraft was full released it only was 20$ made it super accessible and that drove up its notoriety now windows is selling it for 40$ and people are willing to buy it cuz of its rep but when they look at a game that they just see has a modded minecraft clone they are going to see deals like this and drop the money there instead
I don’t understand all the complaints about price. The regular $40 is a completely fair price. I also don’t see why Boundless should be cheaper than Tomb Raider.
I respected Kerball Space Program for going many years without participating in crazy Steam sale discounts. (They would do like 25% off even when the game was 5 years old, when so many 1 year old games do 75%.)
The expectation of nearly-free games is an unhealthy one for the industry, IMO.
Agree, but it it is what it is. Compared to other games at its price point, boundless is a tough, tough sell.
If boundless didn’t have microtransactions, I think people might find its price more reasonable. But given that it does have MT, I think the price should be lower.
