IT’s a silly thing, but I like to have plenty of spark on hand. The most I’ve managed to use is <5 million in a day though when i was really grinding i managed to use between 2 and 3 million in a day several times.
Anyways when I build my new factory the biggest challenge was to get all the spark generators i wanted wired in. This actaully took me the better part of three days getting it all sorted and having to move them once, after which I set them up off center and had to move a bunch of them again 
Anyways I’ve been slowly filling them but I got impatient and @wakeNbake gave me a great deal on a few stacks of coal this week, so I tossed in the remaining 4 smart stacks of compact hard coal it took and finally got this all topped up.
All 180 machines on the factory floor now show 134,217,704 spark!
The 42 in the old workshop are sitting idle and topped up at 33,554,426:

The only thing left is the forge generators, since they’re rarely used they’ve been low priority but these extractors will show 33m spark by Saturday morning:
Anyone else out there feel like there’s no such thing as too much spark? We’ve had a couple threads about crazy spark generator setups but I haven’t seen too many in the wild.

Centraforges can use spark? I was not aware of that, I haven’t attached a generator to one for a very long time.

No those generators are strictly for the extractors I use to make forge ingredients.
And TBH I don’t think most forge ingredients and bases take a lot of spark. Just seemed like a fully coiled extractor should have plenty of spark available!

I like to keep it simple, the least number of generators possible so I don’t have to keep track of multiple 
But whenever it drops below 10mil I start to dread, it’s so close to being empty, could run out any moment.

Ah gotcha 
And nope, i never think there is too much spark… Unless you end up moving bases often, kinda sad if you can’t use it ya loose it.

I can never have enough spark …I could easily get thru 10mil in a day.
I never seem to have more than 20m total by the time I get more fuel some of genies have 100k left

what is the spark capacity of a standard block of generators (2x2x4)?

A single “unit” of spark generators can hold approximately 16,777,220 spark.
This doesn’t change, whether it’s 1 generator or 16, or any configuration in between.
You can put a lot more on a line, but you can only connect 100 spark links to a single face of the generator. Different “strings” of spark links can’t pass within 1 block of each other, either. And neither machines nor generators can “pass through” spark.
The trick for me was getting 12 lines to connect 8 full sets of generators and then reach out far enough to hit all the machines, with none of them ever crossing and staying under the 100 link limit.

I don’t really mine, so i’m always experiencing a coal shortage. I try to keep my generators (i have 2, 1 for my extractors and 1 for the rest) above 5mil, but that’s not always easy ><
I would kill a baby wildstock for 100’s of millions of spark

Yes that’s part of why i bought coal to get these topped up.
It’s been a couple of months, and even though I’ve been playing less, they’ve been consuming every bit of spark I can bring in so I always feel like I need more. The cupboard is always bare, so to speak.
Now that they’re full I should be able to keep them topped up and slowly build surplus, I mean I’m not honestly using spark any faster than when my main generator was 33m.
