Stop the gleambow fighting please

And this is why we can’t have nice things.

There are some who are just doing it to troll people and like in life, wether you are right or wrong, doing something you are allowed to do or not there is always possibilities that there will be consequences when you do something that you know is upsetting someone else. Again it doesn’t matter if you are right or wrong or you are allowed to do so or not if you are purposely trying to make people upset you can’t expect people to play with you nice with you later . That isn’t a threat that’s basically a universal truth.

Oops it was supposed to quote only the last part of what you said.

What I forgot to mention: In a way, someone else in the game decides how much fun I am allowed to have, because someone else has “special community rules”. That’s a bit daft, from my point of view, in particular as I wasn’t asked whether I agree with those rules nor Wonderstruck said so.

I get that. There’s also a difference between “someone’s just playing fair” or someone “really just wants to pee you off” - but it will be hard to figure out who does that unless they say so in chat. Then again, nothing wrong sending that to Wonderstruck and see what they can do.

It would be too bad if all the fuss resulted in fewer or no gleambow events in the future. But if it eats up to much developer time settling disputes and creates nothing but drama between players in here and in game, I would not be surprised.

exactly! why is this concept so hard to grasp?

I guess I don’t see it that way. If I didn’t want to participate, I wouldn’t stop others… I’d go to one of the other 49 regions in circa, (assuming PF 8 is the only one being used)… Or, I’d go to one of the other three planets and do my thing.

Well, what’s to say there would be any difference of how people would react? Also, according to the game rules they’re fair game anywhere. Why would people react differently on another planet? Fair game is fair game, right?

Edited to add: for the record my first thought when in heard about it was why do it on a planet that the event is happening on? I honestly don’t disagree with that at all. After trying it, I’m hooked on the method… but I can see how the choice of planet could be part of the issue… but I still think people will poach them and the same argument would exist.

that is true but in the end it really doesn’t matter -

Again, conundrum… if I could go away, why can’t you. A special group has special rules. Therefore that group should go somewhere, where these special rules can be applied without affecting others.

What is expected however, that this group has special rules, goes somewhere and ALL OTHERS have to leave instead.

Again, that makes no sense to me.
Also, as it affects my base as well, one can’t expect me to move the base, just because that group has special rules that prevent me from using the general games rules which would also apply to anything directly affecting my base. So if I have to live with anyone making the surroundings of my base look like a massive moon landscape, I expect that this group - in return - also accepts that I may not want these special rules applied to me and maybe also offer some leniency.

It’s unreasonable to expect players, that are following the rules set by the game, to know that a falling GB meteor was spawned by another person. They spawn at a distance and anyone is welcome to them.

Groups are a good thing imo. I go with groups sometimes. Soloing is fine too. That’s not the issue.

The issue is people being told they are stealing someone else’s meteor - when the game says that’s not possible, and people are being verbally abused.

Side note: Groups on the event planets are losing their augments - so it’s the worst/least efficient way to use them.

Lol… the terrain has gotten insane! Lol. I wonder how deep the holes are going to go when it’s all said and done.

I mean, we have exos now, I still think it would make sense to introduce a temporary planet (or 3, each region one) where these GB come down without affecting anyone else. Big groups could offer a portal to those planets and problem solved! Everyone wins…

I don’t know that this wouldn’t happen on another planet… chances are you’re going to have a dud regardless off the planet. It’s also a minor-ish issue. It’s happened 3:35 times for me. The disappearing landscape when running on water is a lot bigger problem imho.

It shouldn’t be creating drama because what’s happening here is a complete utter generalization of what actually happening. People are acting like we are being completely disrespectful towards people and trying to prevent people from doing stuff and the vaste majority aren’t. People are completely overlooking the fact that most of what’s being seen is the community coming and working together as well as helping each other.
Besides the forums this has been one of the most positive things I’ve been a part of since I started on day one yet apparently the only thing that’s important is a few bad apples. It’s ridiculous how only the negative is being focused on.

Platform 8 is the only one being used… And you are 100% correct there is the other 49 regions on that planet that can be used :slightly_smiling_face:. The group and myself have limited the manual spawning event to just that region so this exact headache wouldn’t arise.

Agreed!!! I’ve gotten so much stuff and I’ve watched a lot of new players just scavenging the left overs (plenty to gather) and collecting lots of Oort…

Nope. They spawn 100% of the time, unless you’re on a planet that is spawning a bunch. So spawning them on an Event planet is the worst way to do it, if you don’t want to waste augments. :woman_shrugging:

And the limit is probably for technical reasons, as in lag etc… not game rule specific to make it more difficult on purpose…

It might be the main reason why some augments don’t work but I can almost guarantee that some are duds. First night we did this we were no where near the amount of people that the 2nd and 3rd day and some augments didn’t work.
