IMO this could be much longer than that, maybe 12h regen bomb and plotting protection so that there would be time scavenge.
Agreed. Also I don’t think you should be able to world Regen during this time, to block trolling.
Yeah unfueled beacons should have a protection like meteors
So in another game called Xsyon the way the dev handled expired towns was ghosts would start to appear in those towns.
I know its not practical here but one suggestion would be for expired beacons to attract some sort of rodents that consume the beacon contents and then the players have to kill them for what ever they ate…
Wouldn’t be cool if a beacon that used to be a town or something bigger, would just half regen?
So the half regened beacon would be part of the default landscape
I think it would be neat if towns just stayed there. But I guess this would screw up how world Regen works.

this not only helps scavengers, but could also help friends/neighbors save the property. Should be longer IMO, 72 hours maybe even.
I assume this would mean slowing down world Regen on normal planets. Now that we have exos I think this would be just fine.
Might even improve performance!
My understanding is that regen speed is universal for both beacons and resources so if beacon regen is slowed then all resources will also take longer to regen. In the past this caused a major problem and a shortage of many resources as they where being mined/gathered faster than they could regen.
Hopefully that will finally fix the gleamclub display bug along the way.
I still see smoking beacons with 29weeks or something left on regular basis.
A lot of dead beacons out there this week. Nothing too great but I’ll take the materials. I’m scoping out a little shop on a tier one. Hope there is some coin in those shop plinths!
