On my part I have solved it by resetting my pc to factory setting. However doing this might be a bit to “hardcore”.

That is very hardcore! It would have been nice to figure out what was preventing the game from starting so we can tell other players and see if there is anything we can do to stop this from happening again.

@luke-turbulenz, that would have been a good idea. Unfortunately Boundless wasn’t the only game whith this “bug”, so I thougt I’d reset the pc and be done with it.

There are no logs, and furthermore “%LOCALAPPDATA%\Turbulenz” does not exist

That would indicate that the install isn’t completing. What anti virus is the machine running?

yeah we did that too

Can we clarify a few things… so we are all on the same page.

  1. Game wasn’t working
  2. lots of stuff was tried… that didn’t work
  3. Computer was set back to factory default and general windows install.
  4. Steam reinstalled
  5. Boundless reinstalled
  6. Still issues…

OR for step 3 you did a “system restore” instead of a complete reset of the OS.

Next, are all the other steam games working or are you having problems with them?

Lastly, are there any other issues with your computers?

seems like DNArthur was able to solve the issue by setting the computer back to factory settings. we haven’t done a full reset, since we are not really interested in that much trouble, if we have an alternative.

Yup, that worked. I’ve been playng since last night & I haven’t had that problem since I resetted my pc.
