Your shop is actually why I started forging. So pretty

My parents ordered me one of those Mrs fields cookie cakes for my birthday once.

Definitely my best birthday cake ever, other than the lemon one I got once (I too am a lemon fan)

sunkentown mall stays under ownership off us and we use a faction guild system to run it
people can use the shop and footfall but when they disappear we store there items away for retrieval and reset the shop for new user making our mall
usable forever
solving the mall problem with dead plots
now if only more people come and use it all would be great
each shop beacon is a faction in a guild and has its own number people just join the matching book and bam can use it but if they quit we can reuse the shop
should they come back they can grab new shopspot and get there items back

that would be very stupid if we stole from mall users hahahah dont think it be a popular mall :joy:
it all go to our lost and found building run under GC and we mark the date off deposal and name off owner

I personally hate empty shops also but I dont blame the malls or beacon system for it, Iv always considered it a content issue or morover a lack thereof. When players get towards what can be considered endgame in Boundless which is having a lot of stuff they get bored so then decide Ill open a shop and sell some, but it gets tedious for many and they move on to other things in game or other games.

I think the cure to empty stores is simply less of them, not by removing the ones built but by giving players more things to do instead of opening them

If they got rid of the skill system then there would be no need for so many shops

For a long time I would have agreed with you but I have learned to love having a skill tree, if they got rid of the skill system this would just be MC but with fancier buildings

A bit rude, and honestly the prices that @georgegroeg has at his store are actually really fair prices, forging this stuff isn’t easy unless you know what you’re doing so go ahead and try for yourself it’s RNG based and can be annoying at times from what I’ve heard and there aren’t many forge masters out there that i know like him. Plus if you played this game earlier forged goods used to be way more expensive then what they are now, just know that Quality and quantity costs when making these things they have to make money back for their time and effort.

More importantly, it’s a game. People play when they can/ if they want to. If it ā€œhurtsā€ you, you’re taking a game way too seriously.

Malls have been a blessing in this game and I’d like to thank EVERY mall owner for their hard work because I know it’s no easy task. When in a mall you just pull up the knowledge tab and you set the location and run to that shop… yes sometimes you want let’s say black concrete but when you get there they have gray… It happens so I just make best of my visit and see whatever else they have for sale… You never know you may find a nice deal on something you were not even looking for… also alot of the shops have request baskets so if you find something from shop A for cheap and shop B is buying for double… Hey easy coin right there to be made…

It’s not a problem for me to reach a shop located on a different planet and less than 1k away from me. I’m a lazy person and i’m just a bit disappointed when i have to walk 2km to reach a shop. Going around is a very good way to see the the world and what people built.
But it’s not fun when you go shopping, jumping between planets with info based on butt, and the shop is not selling the color i need. For me this is the issue, i can’t find the right information anywhere and it’s boring to spend hours to search shops for something that should be somewhere and easily found.

Everyone here is content with horrible mall setups just because they exist. Its not asking a lot to have malls have active shops from active players so we dont waste a day trying to buy a single product.

But hey if we all just power level alts refining stone and mining tunnels across the map and filling the hole back up no one would sell anything cause we would do it ourselves. The crappy skill system is the only reason shops exist.

Their complaints are ridiculous. Like why would a mall not want to bring in more income from tax, gain more prestige, and grow bigger and bigger. They do not value our time but expect us to value theirs.

I disagree. A few empty shops does not make a mall horrible in my opinion… I think that’s the thing, what’s bothering you isn’t fixable without making malls have strict rules which just isn’t going to work across every single player.

I’m not saying it’s good that there are empty shops, but I am saying the issue you have isn’t really solvable. And the malls in the state they are in are still excellent places for shopping…
Without forcing players to commit there is no solution to your issue in my opinion…

And after all there is plenty of room for more shops! And eventually those who have quit for good will regen (eventually!)
