YES! I would love some sort of transportation.
I love running around, but …there are some points where i want ot be up in the air…taking into account amazing build that is below me!
A flying option (even glider) would be cool…or something 
just something fun would be great to have.

Who needs a hoverboard when you can get a pet livestock? Let me craft this leather into a saddle to ride my behemoth T6 livestock back to my T3 home.
Tired of swimming? Lash some hoppers to some timber to form a makeshift raft. Let the flock of roadrunners speed you across the ocean. See some evil baddies up ahead? Not a problem with our roof mounted spitter turret!
Edit: I actually like the idea of being forced to breed two livestock on a T1 planet, then level them up to get a higher tier mount. Let us raise some animals now that we have the fodder to do so!

I could see myself using hoveboards/skateboards, and that dune buggy the most tbh XD
(Would be cool if we could put our hoverboards as a display until we use them again, such as: flat against the wall, or idle hovering above the ground with a slight color glow)

… i personally would like to have mounts
Landbased… waterbased.
There could be craftables for mount like
3 parts and if you got all you get some bonus stats like 2% mountspeed increase
Saddle (increase handling)
Rocket (increase mountspeed)
Armorpiece (decrease the chance dropping of the saddle if you get hit by projectile)
Also this would add more possibilities to exchange by adding seasonal mounts etc

I suppose mounts could be leveled, and would have to be fed to keep balance. Maybe they could have saddlebags or help you fight / cover your back for when the hunter comes out.
Would they have a skill page.

A train/subway/monorail would be interesting. It could be used to get around big cities, show off builds, travel over or under seas and mountain ranges and connect to different settlements without merging them.
It wouldn’t be a bullet train, but maybe similar to the ones in theme parks.
I love the idea of big transit hubs mixed with portals and local transportation. It seems within the technological capability of the Oort to have transportation. Although we’ve yet to develop the tech for pants, so I might be wrong.
