Um…what exactly is “trust level” in terms of this forum? Is it based on likes, posts, time here?

i think it is dev decided. with difrent levels you get difrent ability to modify or reclassify difrent posts and threads. If you are lucky someday @Havok40k may let you hold his mythical ban hammer.

It’s a discord thing. It’s basically a way to auto moderate against trolls.

I forgot how it goes exactly but you have basic, regular and leaders. Basic users are the ones that have no special privileges, regulars are promoted automatically after some stats are achieved, and leaders can only be set by devs.
Regulars can rename/re-categorize topics. Leaders can do more
