Turned all the graphics to "Ultimate" settings

Ohh I know all that but if if the game is not changed to support the better hardware then that would be a bit of a bummer. Longer draw distances, higher resolution when available, etc. would be nice

I was going to try to get a screenshot on an i3 with an integrated card, but it has a PSU issue. If I can get it fixed, I’ll upload a screenshot.

Other than that, I have an i7 w/1050 - I think the screenshots on that would probably be very similar to the ones I took on the i9 w/RTX 2080.

My main comps an old optiplex off ebay ~100 with an rx570 The gpu is about worth the computer, heh, though It runs games well.

i5 3xxx 8gb ram and I cant run max settings with stuff running in the background, without FPS slowing down a bit (for Boundless).

That’s impressive for the quality… game must be well coded or something

ElderSscrollsOnline Runs with this setup not maxed, though, though the load times are very long. 2019 game would probably make the computer explode, literally, though I don’t normally play games past 2010ish, My eyes are attuned to text, audio, and Everquest :stuck_out_tongue:

Honestly most of the games I see on youtube these days look like you’re just either watching a movie, or flying through the air hitting five hundred buttons (or none) while your character is slashing a sword, flying with combo hit numbers spamming the screen in a very fancy font.

Basically I can play a game at 100fps with this comp while notepad has trouble lagging typing. I guess its a GPU factor.

My major upgrade is coming tomorrow found a desktop with a an ol but good amd r7 cpu will pop my gpu in and maybe i’ll be able to multitask. Turn this one on to mess around with Linux. 150~$ used heh hopefully it boots up.

I like this forum to chatter however where the heck do people communicate in-game?

Most ppl use discord (I don’t like discord, but the majority use it). Other than that, there is an in game chat system. Ppl basically only use it during hunts, group builds, or events.

Bahhaha…that’s great! :joy::rofl::smile:

I’m so jealous. That draw distance with the detail…oh my. My 1060 does good with the draw distance and detail but things really far away don’t render properly, at all.

Are there reasons you don’t like discord?

I may the only living soul that doesn’t like it lol but there are several reasons…
It’s off-platform
It’s 98% private (& if IGN doesn’t match, it’s 100% anonymous)
It’s an extra process that has to run in tandem with all of the others - so usually redundant (especially if not using voice)
…but I know a lot of people like it & find it really useful, so I use it sometimes

I don’t use or like discord either. Someone should create an IRC channel for boundless : ]

As much as I would love that many people want to use voice these days which is not supported by IRC…

BTW, gotta wonder how old are you that you know about IRC?

IRC is still relatively popular. There are a few games that have an IRC, but do not have discord. Not a lot, but more than you might imagine.

I was born as a mind many eons ago within the universal matrix of data relay, from another galaxy.

@Xaviien Yea freenode is packed with users since there’s a lot of tech related channels, programming, crypto. Haven’t found a gaming one with a lot of channels. Would make sense to me.

Made #Boundless on quake irc, servercentral.il.us.quakenet.org - seems to be a game centered server
