Creatures spawning in lots of weird places that are plotted

Has something changed about creature spawns?

It seems like once I’ve placed a beacon and some plots, suddenly there are a lot of creatures. I thought it was just me, but I was visiting a few different hubs/towns yesterday and there were creatures in the hubs, going up to portals, etc. Way more than in the wild…on players’ plotted areas. I thought they didn’t spawn in plots. As soon as I plotted a gleam ball in the air on a Sovereign planet yesterday, creatures started spawning and falling from above (one here and there - not a ton at once,…
