I always chisel straight forward or facing down when i can and try to avoid chiseling facing to the sky…
As strange as it is ill get neck pain as if im irl looking up hours with no end.
I try to place all blocks downward while facing North. Helps with the patterns in my view. It could be any direction as long as everything is done the same.
building vicariously through@Apt and @georgegroeg. Once I did that my building skill went through the moon! God my stuff is so awesome!
(note: no comment about Redlotus’ good work… this is about me… thought it would be funny if we all started a “used to plan on paper then moved onto just…” set of comments.
I just build whatever I feel like and take my sweet time while constantly rebuilding the build XD (like unfinished art I guess? lol)
A majority of the time I don’t plan my builds either :D
I look at the terrain. Then go back to my base, look at all the blocks, I choose a couple and then build something. Very little planning involved most of the time. And what @Cactopod said
I am hopeless builder so I just go to @georgegroeg, H.S.E @catfud and few others and steal their ideas and incorporate my own taste into them. Theirs definitely some awesome builds out there to keep me inspired.
I just place blocks and redo them a thousand times until I like it. If the build changes too much, I just redo the terrain around it. Terraforming ftw.
