Hi everyone! As you can guess by the title, I am curious to know what a Spanner does in-game, I have no idea what it does.

Crafting stuff with your crafting stations wears them out.
Using the spanner repairs them.

How do the different spanners differ? eg: copper, silver, etc…
Is it ONLY durability?
Not much currently. They did have more durability but the last time I used one it did not have durability.
In the past they could only remove a few percent of wear with one use, now they fix all wear at once which is most likely a simplified version of what is to come (I expect different durability and different fixing rate at least). Wouldn’t think it’s top priority though.

A spanner is a type of adjustable wrench. Outside of North America, spanner is just another word for “wrench.” If Americans want to ruin something, they “throw a wrench into it.” British people “throw a spanner in the works.”
