Have had multiple and now i just use a simple cable of my phone in my PS4 controller. Would like to know some good ones to for future endeavors😉 as my luck runs out every time warranty passes.

It looks like the issue is those headsets don’t have a mic anywhere near your mouth…
It’s worth noting that cell phones, PS, Xbox, Switch & Laptops all use 3.5mm 4 pin jacks so you can literally use anything that works for any of those systems.
I have the following headsets that i use with boundless (and with other games on both console and laptop)
- Turtle Beach Ear Force Recon 50
- Turtle Beach Battle Buds
both of them are around 30.00, both have mics on adjustable booms.
The battle buds are in ear, the recons are over ear.
The battle buds hurt after about an hour or two of game play, the recons don’t but might make your ears hot.
The battle buds come in black or white, the recons come in blue, green, red or white.
When im alone and no one is going to talk to me for any forseeable time, i mute my mic and then disconnect my gaming headset and then plugin my Samsung Earbuds for my note 5 and just play with that since they dont hurt my ears at all even after a considerable amount of play time (but then i have a quiet mic like you dont want)
If you have a cell phone headset that has a good mic when you hold it up to your mouth, you might want to consider using one of those and just looping the cable over your ear to pull the mic up to rests on your chin. I have these this method before on pc, console on my phone and no one has ever complained they cant hear me.

don’t use a headset per se, If I want someone to hear me, I just talk into the mouse, right?
Actually have a Cooler Master MH752 somewhere, unused, but for everyday pc use, got a pair of bowers & wilkins PX wireless headphones back in june and haven’t looked back since, very comfy and great sound. Use a pair of philips fidelio X2s and fostex T50RPMK3s for wired use.

Sadly the IPhone earbuds mic doesn’t work with the PS4 iirc. Tho now that I don’t use a stock controller I wonder if they’ll work 
Also wish the AirPods would work with the PS4 but sadly those don’t either

Ah ha, yeah i guess i should have said “android” not cell phones.
Yeah, I tried buying android cords for my Bose and Shure headphones but according to others there is a lot of audio feedback on them 
I got a pair of sennheiser gsp 600, the sound is great but i sure wish i could adjust the angle of the headband.
Oy mate, id take a minute to bug Bose on this issue, just a quick look at those headphones shows they are “Designed for iphone”, so you need to get an adapter to flip the mic and ground, " CTIA to OMTP".
For what its worth it looks like bose makes a “Bose QuietComfort 25 Headphones Inline Mic/Remote Cable for Samsung & Android Devices” for about $24.00 on amazon.
Id contact them and just ask if that would solve your feedback issue on the ps4 before buying a new headset since its right in your price range and you get to keep the headphones you already have.

So these have a transceiver. It comes with a 8 foot cord. I have the A50s. (The A40s are wired) mine can charge while using. The newest one I’m picking up this Christmas and claim to have a battery life of 17 hours. I have to look them back up. But dude, they are awesome. I’m only upgrading because I want new. Lol. I keep these as backup although I don’t think I’ll need too this brand is so good.

You can do both and with a decent headset you can balance the game audio with chat /music On Spotify. They favor a lot of good podcast now. Like (the dark web) by Brett Weinstein and such.
