I thought wrong light is the only reason why something can’t grow?

is it inside a full block of water ?

try putting more blocks of gleam near it

This, it’s too deep in water. You need to leave the space after a change in block height clear when doing this with rice. Water flows across alot of blocks before you need to drop the level again to keep it flowing. I think mine are 3 wide by 7 long and then drop to the next level to repeat. This lets me have my rice plants in blocks of 3 x 6 for AOE harvesting.

Random, but does anyone know if I can plant kindling under water? Into gravel still but underwater. Keep thinking it would make some amazing looking seaweed!

I honestly don’t know… experiment time!

That is the best idea I have seen in a long time. I was just talking to your compadre over at TREE earlier about some plans for a lake…

Let’s rebuild my 24 plot wide ramp… Thanks, I shouldn’t have deviated from the farm school example. Makes sense now why I didn’t catch this while building (water was turned off).

Oooo… ouch

Are you planning on feeding all the starving children in the world?

you can place water afterwards. it will be preserved at whatever stage it was, but will not continue growing. ( i did it with goo

you could try just slope chiselling the row above? So the water starts to fall before it hits that ‘ungrowable’ crop?

So far as I know, if you put the water on after the plant is grown you could do it anywhere you wanted.

Definitely trying it when I get on in a couple hour  a few white glowcaps too… will look magical i think!

And a lake at Ashenvale? Sounds good to me!

I was too busy getting excited about “experiment time!” before I read your post and did this.

Experiment was a complete success.

@Apt have you tried planting one outdoors in a box with gleam and then removing the box to have it live out in the sunlight?

That works, but then I can’t grow something there.

You can plant on a sloped chisel

no, but there is no reason it shouldn’t work. and the same as water, you can have them in different stages of maturity. I think that the Legend place has these plants outside

Just grow the kindling then add the water later. Also, from my experience you won’t get a good effect with water. We tried water in the Village when we first genres the kindling (next to the TNT portal).

Sorry late to the party but… slope chisel the block (1 up) on the left of it. It is drowning the crop.
Crop can grow on slope.

Yeah that looks a little too uniform for what I had in mind, still a very cool effect though!
I’m thinking more like half a dozen in a lake would add nice detail, like glowing seaweed

Its gone now but still.
