When Boundlexx wonât load anything then Boundless info resources and such donât either. When one is not working right the other is not either. So there is something they have in common. This has been the case for many years not just a one time thing.
https://boundlessinfo.com/ is based on boundlexx and a completely different site from this one here. ![]()
Im aware of this site. I was mostly mentioning Boundlexx being inactive and not updating in case anyone was trying to pull information directly from it. The data that is there is still accessible though and much of it is static.
Originally, I went down the route of just using Boundlexx to pull in data for my site as many others did also, but as Iâm sure you are aware thatâs not the best route to take.
Yeah yeah we know that lol!. Just stating that when one is down or not pulling info the other is not pulling stuff either. Just happen to notice when the new one was down they were at the same time. That was the point. It was only for a short time as it usually is. So it is something they all have in common that they pull info from. That could be something as simple as the boundless servers. Imagine that lol!
Mostly likely the API on the Boundless side. That would be the only common point between them all.
The site doesnât pull anything from Boundless when you open a page. A scheduled job fetches from the official API and saves everything into its own database, and the site reads from that. So if the Boundless servers or the API went down, the site would stay up and everything on it would keep working.
The only thing that would stop is new data coming in: no new sovereigns, no colour updates, no fresh shop prices until itâs back. Every page shows when its data was last read, so you can tell how old it is. ![]()
Hey everyone!
@Jon-Eric gave me access to the official Boundless API, so Iâve added two new sections to the site and updated a couple of the existing ones. ![]()
Shopping: shop stands and request baskets across the universe, searchable by item, updated on a schedule.
Maps: surface maps of every planet, with:
- Shop stands and request baskets, grouped per shop or one pin per stand
- Plot boundaries, merged per settlement or drawn per beacon
- Beacons and settlements
- Search that filters the map and the list together
- Coordinates in the same format the game uses
- Download the map as an image, either the whole planet or just the part youâre looking at
- Layer choices remembered from one planet to the next
From Shopping you can click a listing and it opens the map on that exact stand.
Planet pages: new Shops, Beacons and Map tabs on every planet.
Settlement leaderboard: every entry now links to its place on the map.
Bugs are definitely possible, so if you bump into anything broken or weird please tell me.
Let me know also if thereâs something youâd like added. ![]()
you are awesome @Kanjiro77 ![]()
Thatâs a great website, good job! Had plans to do something similar, but then Monumental showed up and we all know how that went
Good to see that you managed to pull this off! Keep going!
