A solution to our woes

With the crushing weight of keeping this current iteration of our worlds afloat, why not start making a process for allowing us to take our beacons and make blueprints from them so that if we have to wipe, we just take our beacons and put them down and restore the build based on its blueprint? No one has to lose anything. Doing this should alleviate worries of those who revel in what they created and not losing them during the wipe.

The solution is not to wipe lol

  1. This entirely defeats the purpose of doing a wipe
  2. Doing a wipe will kill what playerbase we have left.

You miss the point, it’s to give us the ability to survive a wipe like nothing happened, we will get new worlds to pick up where we Left off from

Not quite. My build is built into the landscape, working with what was already there. I literally cannot move from my spot on Dzassak, without invalidating my entire build and every block I’ve placed. :')

I imagine I’m likely not alone there, from what I’ve seen others build.

Wipe, eh not a fan of that.

Blueprints, definitely a fan of that though!

What problem wipe solves?

Well, let’s preface this with there has been no mention of a wipe.

The solution is for them to open source the game and relinquish control so the community can actually do something with the game instead of simply having the lights kept on.

While I see the positives of open sourcing, it would be a nightmare and the end of the current persistent universe.
