Ability to swim DOWN

Your character should swim in whatever direction you are facing. Swimming down should not require a quirk.

Doesnt that happen automatically? You need to press jump to stay on the surface and you press O (on ps4 anyway) to dive. If you dont have either, you’ll slowly sink (even without the quirk).

Yep, c is the down button on PC.

But I don’t think that’s what he means Suji.

I can’t swim down on PS4, only sink. Slooowly. Unless you know something I don’t…? Awesome if there already is a way.

I believe that it is the “O” button on PS4 as was mentioned above. However it is a very slow swim down and not a great mechanic IMO. I have used the grapple before if there is something within reach. That helps some and is quicker for me.

If you change crawl to toggle on/off, rather than hold, in the settings, pressing circle will sink you to the bottom without having to hold it down.

‘that sinking feeling’ on a loot stick helps, gives you more time.

Just remember to toggle crawl off or you won’t make it to surface!

Um as Pc user, I think there is a button to swin down, but its very slow.
It really make me feel i am using the character to swim down since the first day I know how to do it.
But i am not sure if this is what you are looking for lol.

I agree, we should be able to descend faster. I was going to agree that if you’re looking down and holding X or space bar that you should swim that way, but that would make it impossible to simply look down underwater while floating at the top. That would be more trouble than it’s worth.

Maybe the best solution would be that you don’t have to hold swim in order to stay on the surface, then you can swim in any direction, like straight down at the normal swim speed, and releasing the swim button leaves you static or even makes you float up as slowly as you currently sink without pressing anything.

I like the swimming in pretty much every game but this one. Tomb raider, Grand Theft Auto… even Super Mario Bros from the 1980s does a better job :joy:
