So I got dropped onto a field somewhere. now what? I saw some beginners guides online with basic key commands, but I have a few questions.
- How do you access the crafting bench?
- Will things I create be deleted?
- What happens if I die?

- you lost item and you can respwan at capital or homepoint, the lost items get dropped at the bottem and can collect again from you or a other person. after a short time the items diasppear.

In addition to Saint_X’s comments …
- Press Tab to access the crafting bench
- If you mean placed blocks, you can protect what you build with a beacon (you’ll need to craft that too - along with a beacon plotter).
- You’ll drop all your items when you die. If you’re close to where you respawn you can run and pick them all up again. I’d recommend storing a few extra blocks of things you might need to build tools again within your beacon (see number 2!).
If you get stuck for how to make certain things, there’s a wiki on gamepedia, or use boundlesscrafting.com - failing that, people on the forums will be happy to help if they can!

- Containers are hopefully coming in the near future, but for now you’ll have to place blocks of crafting materials you don’t want to lose. Find a really cool color of gleam? Place a block (or few) inside your beacon. Repeat with other things you like (ice, sand, etc.). Then you can break those blocks and toggle on infinity mode (it’s period or comma, one of those) and use that resource again (make sure to replace it though!).
Also a huge shoutout to boundlesscrafting.com. @Stretchious has done fantastic work with it and it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re new.
