I suggest you add a customizable emote wheel to facilitate social interaction in the game. Games like Overwatch, Apex Legends, Warframe and League of Legends have similar features to support team coordination and social interaction. Essentially, you press a hotkey to open the wheel menu, move the cursor in the direction of the desired option (emote) and either click the option or release the hotkey to trigger the selected emote. You could use it to greet nearby players, show agreement or disagreement, display anyspecific emotion or point in a quick and easy manner.
