Add Genetic Manipulation

Instead of the normal Pet breeding stuff (we are in the future).

Make it so mobs can drop their genetic material and players can trade for, high roll numbers or rare genetics.

Then use these to create a new profession where players can “Forge”/“Genetically Create” Player owned/Controlled mobs.

Would also add end game elements etc for late game players to do… Trying to make/create perfects Monsters.

Make Genetic Materials control everything from looks/type of mobs. Mob attack types and overall stats of mobs.

This sounds very cool, but it would be nice to see some boss level monsters first. I feel like these creations would be overall disposable like weapons and deployable during battle. We need monsters that take a few minutes to take down before spells and summons feel substantial and necessary.

So craftable “mini” mobs? I’m fine with them being cosmetic only, as well… That would open up a whole new world of monetization.

Cosmetic only sounds boring, why cosmetic only on a pve game?

Oh I just meant if we can’t have combat pets, cosmetic companion pets would be fine by me as well. A lil’ shooty pet would be sweet, for sure.

How about hostile defensive pet spawners on properties for these genetic mutants? So you can protect your property with silent hoppers or other nasty creatures… maybe having to capture rare dna from elite mobs… or ultra rare ones for the process - guildies can obviously walk past… but anyone else gets eaten

Interesting idea. I like it. I dont see them being able to battle initially. But i feel like implementing them first wouldnt be as difficult. Similar to what WoW did. In game noncombat companions came first then later on they added battle functionality (noncombat pet dueling). Could be a way to introduce some form of pvp for those that want it.

Going off of your idea blocks could also drop ultra rare genetic material you would then use a number of to craft (using our tech skills level 4 and 5) into a genetic being that can follow you around or be confined to beaconed plots. Base how many you can have active at once on your beacon’s prestige. The higher your prestige is, the more creatures you can have roam your beacon.

I also wouldnt limit this to mob creatures alone. Give everything that has drops a chance to drop the genetic material. Gem block, wood blocks, rock blocks, mushrooms, etc. Rock and wood colors would affect the color genetic material you get. Combining colors could even create new colors not in game yet.

Then we could have baby wildstock companions or baby stone companions, gem companions, etc
