I want to add my freind so I can add him to my beacon but I can’t find how to add them
That is a planned feature that does not work in the current beta. You will also be able to add them to specific locks and guilds, too.
You should still be able to add them into your beacon…
Your friend will need to craft a “Friend Token”. He can then trade his friend token with you (or he can just drop it and you pick it up). If you then interact with your beacon, by pressing ‘E’, you should see his friend token in your bag - just add it to the beacon control. You and your friend will then both be able to build inside your beacon!
Just be aware, although locks have been added to the beta, I don’t think the ability to add a friend token to them has been implemented yet - so I’m not sure if your friend will have access to all of your locked stuff or not!
If you manage to get that far, maybe you can let us know! 
Friend tokens aren’t in game at the moment (?)
I think they are on the main game, but now I’m not so sure about the test version! I’ll double-check… although I’m sure I saw it (maybe!)
They don’t appear to be craftable atm, at least according to recipes.json (the item is present though - ITEM_PLAYERTOKEN)

you can craft friend token in the main version with glass and stone. friend tokens are not in the test version.
