So, very new player. I was going for a really long swim and I came across a totally disgusting floating MOLD pile stuck to the side of a cliff. So, not knowing when I might see such a thing again, I went about collecting a good amount just cuz.

Given the large amount of worlds, I wonder, is Mold common (on every world), uncommon, or did I find something rare?

There will be more planets with it since sovereigns I guess.

Its uncommon at best, it only spawns in specific biomes on med+ tier planets. Its not really useful, and doesn’t sell for much (1c or less).

Might get more use in a future update though

Either hoard it or chuck it in the minter, if you want more it won’t be too hard to get.
