The power coil lightning destroys everything in the block between the coil and the machine. Unfortunately, this is also true for glass panes. If you could allow glass panes to exist in this block, as long as they are parallel to the lightning, we could use it to cover these dangerous parts up and still be perfectly flat with the machine.

This would be nice. As is my workshop has glass panes sticking out JUST enough that they can kill you if you drink a mega fast brew.
