Yeah I agree that does sound like a bird name. And I did love the Woht too, but it sounds like a name for something more ferocious like a wolf or mountain cat.
I think it came from the sounds I imagined them making. Who says the little hoppy guys cant also trill and whistle.
Their little mouths make me think they’ll scream like screaming goats.
