I have been experimenting with ice and light and water in the portal I’m building for the portal framing contest. I thought I have a layer of ice underneath the water to create something like a reflection pool so you can feel like your walking on the water.
I added several emerald torches to light up the ice from below, and when I am in the water the ice is illuminated beautiful. But when you are out of the water looking in all the light and color is gone, which is unfortunate. Anyway I wish there was some way for the light to filter through the waters surface.
