Is a vertical column of chunks one single chunk or are there multiple chunks in a single vertical column?
well… there is no “chunk” this kind of concept in the Boundless.
The player owned area unit is called “Plot”, 8x8x8 block per plot.
im talking about the chunks not the plots lol the chunks that contain the mesh limits.
Yes chunks mantle to sky box ive hit mesh limit so im well aware
ty and darn … was hoping multiple existed within a column so i could layer zones oh well. i guess i’ll be spreading out more
ty
Switch to shop stands instead of storage blocks saves on mesh
unfortunately the zone i want layered wouldn’t have any storage blocks at all lol…layered crafting zones. but i will now look into it as your suggestion brought to mind the easy fact that a shop stand automaticaly forces a filter on the product put into it
There are chunks in the game they are 2x2x256 and no way to find them unless you start lating meshes. At least on ps4 there is now way to know where they are.
So far i figured out in debug menu how to tell how much mesh is being used where I’m standing but as far as I know it won’t show the boundaries like plots can. Though I suppose I could just map it out by looking for where it changes mesh used number.
2x2? Dang I thought they were bigger than plots
one chunk is 16x16x256 (2x2 plots)
Screenshot from debug window
Red underlined is coordinates targeted block of chunk.
Blue underlined is coordinates of targeted chunk.
if there is no block in chunk it can’t show coordinates).
I guess that in PS4 you can get current chunk location by dividing your player coordinate by 16.
Yeah my bad I should have clarified lol
ohhh 2x2 in plot size ok
