So, my builder and crafter could still go and build/craft in my bases on lvl 5/6 worlds. He would die sometime, but he could manage single mobs up to Mighty level (sweating though), if careful/lucky.
Now, he dies from Strong level mobs and suddenly being in high lvl worlds bases is too dangerous for him which makes my work there very difficult.
I will have to respec him I guess, but thats a big change - starting with one set of rules and building char towards that and then suddenly its not good enough. My building/crafting skills are already limited because of atmospheric protection and higher vitality etc. and now I will have to think about armor and such? Again taking points from limited skills I need as a builder/crafter.
Maybe these stronger elemental creatures could be limited to meteorites and not be implemented as ambient ones ones? At the end of the day I feel the changes in their potency is there to make them more challenging for hunters and that means meteorite hunts.
Make life of normal folks a bit easier, please?
Even my miner, who is way more protected and fight ready (although not as strong as hunter), died so fast in a fight I expected to win (only defending when clearing area for building).
EDIT: And why on earth am I being forced to go back to home beacon after dying within my beacons on high level worlds? The normal after death portal stays closed.
If you’re on ps4 x is to stay and o is to go home. I couldn’t tell you what it is on pc.
As for the mobs I was actually afraid when I hit a cave with some mobs on my miner but I killed them quickly with my hammer. So I’m not in agreement with the mobs being too strong.
Mind I’m talking elemental ones. They were buffed and have stronger attacks now. I see the difference when a chill one attacked me. They turn on buffs and kill ya like that.
Yea I’m talking about the new elemental mob on the exos as well. I didn’t fight a spitter or wildstock tho. Was just a very fancy scary cuttletrunk. Tho I think those are easier to kill over spitters n wildstock
If I take any fight in isolation it’s doable but while building or doing anything that makes me prone to surprised attack it gets too easy to die.
Im talking about an hour play while in none combatant state playing none combatant alt. There is certain level of risk and number of deaths occurring. I am aware of how much risk I take. And after last elemental mobs buff it went up making my life more difficult and my skill sets outdated to a degree.
When I actively hunt and mine and look out for danger and get first shot when meeting mobs, more challenge might be welcome. Cause I do that with alts built to fight and survive. But for more passive roles I find certain level of risk simply frustrating.
What I’m saying is, make mobs more challenging for hunters. For meteorites and exoworld events. Make danger wait for us there. But don’t make building and terraforming too frustrating. I learnt how to build an alt for these tasks on world lvl 5 and 6 and still have decent building skills. And now it looks lvl 50 is not enough as I started dying like when I went to build on lvl 5 world with lvl 35 character.
T6 should be a nightmare for a builder with no health/protections. Thats the whole point of having different tiers. Theres 35 other planets that are less challenging, but if you choose to build on the hard ones, it most definitely should be hard.
Why? I 100% think it should be a nightmare to run around the hardest places in the game without the right specs. Thats why they are hard.
In saying that, even with my miner who has no points in health/protection/agility, its not at all a nightmare. Just dont try fight cuttles with your hammer and you’ll be ok.
Pro tip: dont run towards spitters. They will kill you in one shot.
You can see em on the map long before they see you. Just need to be aware of your surroundings and theyre easy to avoid. If youre running in a straight line without watching where youre going, then yes you will die, alot. But thats nothing to do with balance.

i don’t feel it needs to be easy for people who wants to build in T5 or T6 planet.
Also if those are alts especially for builder and crafter, personally i don’t mind to died a lot since the exp not important in those chars i think.
The annoying part may be the random teleport once you died, but since you are building your home there, so you can teleport to your home for free.
(set your home beacon to the place you are building, and if your place is too huge, maybe you can switch the master beacon to the area close to your current building part.)
I don’t say it should be easy. I am aware of risks and certain amount of hiding and dying when attacked etc.
What I say it has become harder. I created a spec that can survive one two hits and have time to react, fight back or flee. I would die often enough but acceptable and not too frustrating.
What I say it got significantly worse as I got killed more often and got to the point where building activities has become frustrating and playing not enjoyable.
What I say is there is a balance I work around and suddenly it’s different. It feels like kick in the teeth especially that to respec I need to spend cubits.
The feeling of frustration will warn out for sure. Especially if I take a few days off in the wild with no computer and internet around. (only good phone reception to post here lol).
