That kind of thing should result in a ban. If you owned a restaurant and a group of imbeciles were actively harassing your customers you would remove them from the premises and ban them.
Itās the nature of society these days. Cancel culture at itās finest.
Post on the forums, of a certain group dislikes your post it just gets flagged into oblivion.
The person doing all that was banned, but just for 2 weeks.
Anyways back on topic with no official word from Monumental I just play the game and try and remain positive as hard as that is at times.
During the āReign of Wonderstruckā, I later realized that one of the things they sold during crowdfunding was āThe right to have your sayā.
I still laugh when I think about how that worked out⦠Maybe when theyāre actively trying to grow whatever they do with Boundless, Monumental will take a little more of a normal stance.
NGL considering the question - thatās a fair slant

I mean, it was one of the offered perksā¦
They definitely delivered on it.
I do enjoy the full versions of your posts myself though. I drank every word and it tasted like water of life on the endless sands of speculation that this forum can be at times.
Or, you might say, your posts help to push the record thst got stuck on drama.
i just want to add, years ago i played japaneese mmorpg, they got released at PC and PS, we wanted specific mechanics that were available in countless other PC games - they said they cant becouse it cant be made at PS due its limitation, so from that time, every time we were asking about something every single time someone responded with āPS limitation, dont even askā
Iām only swinging here because Iāve been pinged summoned about a week ago by @Redlotus on a now-locked thread about some negative review on Steam (which I also mostly agree with, aside from the parts about Monumental).
āWhy hast thou summoned me back?ā
Iām surprised that so many people are still hanging in there.
God, you canāt edit your posts anymore, what the heck?! What happened to the forum index?! Ok, Monumental definitely ruined the forums at least! Like, what, is this Twitter, now?! Itās so much worse!
@HOST youāre still there! Is the Sanctuary still standing?
Guessing thereās still no news about an update? Any reason to come back? I keep seeing the āupdatesā on Steam like āhey, that event that hasnāt changed in years is back unchanged, praise the sun!ā.
ā¦Anyway, as soon as someone is done asking 3 questions, Iāll go back to my coffin. Then I guess Iāll go back to Helldivers 2. Managed-democracy wonāt spread itself.
Have fun in purgatory yāall! ^^
Glad to know my summoning powers still work ⦠or is it pixie dust?? Who knowsā¦
That said, yes editing capabilities were removed seems that the few that were opening abusing it ruined it for the rest of the people. Hard for me to blame Monumental for that.
Update News? Nope nothingā¦
Any reason to come back? The community is still here, the servers are up and not many games with great building capabilities.
Lastly, I donāt think of it as a purgatory, but I canāt really argue against it.
I can also confirm the Sanctuary is still there. Visited 2 days ago. ![]()
Not sure who openly abused it, but I was certainly using it A TON, as someone who likes to edit his messages constantly to fix uncaught spelling mistakes, adding more arguments, making my thinking clearer, etc. As crazy as it sounds, the removal of this feature alone is enough to make me think āI donāt want to be on this forum anymoreā.
The community? All 50 of them?! ![]()
Iām joking.
But I dunno, recently, Enshrouded and Nightingale have been scratching my itch quite well.
Although, Iāll admit, if you had told me in 2020 āHytale is unlikely to be out by the end of 2024ā, I wouldnāt have believed you. I was SO sure it would come out around 2021 or 2022, way before Baldurās Gate 3⦠and here we are. I mean, BG3 was an incredible game, though. All praise Mama Karlach.
Oh and donāt get me started on Hollow Knight Silksong, MY GOD.
Ah well, Iām happy to hear it! Host is a good boĆÆ! ![]()
You arenāt wrong ⦠and pretty close to correct on the count. Give or take a dozen.
Nightingale and Enshrouded are decent games, but still donāt fill the building itch for me. I played Nightgale a good bit and was really hoping it was my Boundless replacement, but itās not. Enshrouded has some great building aspects in it, but both Nightingale and Enshrouded let me down a good bit. I was VERY much looking forward to Nightingale too. Both still good games though.
I was mildly looking forward to Hytale⦠weāll see when and if it comes out.
To be fair, they just came out and both have very big roadmaps ahead of them. Tis how things go, these days, in the industry. Letās not pretend Boundless was paletable as soon as it came out in 2014.
Iāll let them cook a bit.
It will come out. I believe the big obstacle that got added on their path was the late decision of moving away from Java code (something they inherited from Minecraft Java Edition, which is arguably the most commonly played version, one reason being that Java is a more practical coding language, as I understand it) to remake the entire game engine in C++ in order to reach more platforms than just PC (which is why there is a Minecraft Bedrock Edition).
All the power to Hypixel if they can avoid Minecraftās insanity of having two versions competing against eachother, both having little differences in features sprinkled in on top of it all.
Eitherway, there is still no doubt in my mind that Hytale will crush games like Boundless or Creativerse, and probably Minecraft as well.
The issue with Minecraft is that there is on one hand a fear on Microsoftās part of adding too many things that would changing the nature of the game and make the existing players leave, making a ton of redtape that Mojang has to deal with every time they wanna add something. It gets to the point where they make polls like āwhich one of these 3 features/creatures do you want to see added to the gameā and people tend to say āall of them!ā, and as soon as the poll is up, you start to see fan-made mods reproducing all the concepts from the poll. Itās ridiculous.
@anon34275467 nice to hear something!, yeah sanctuary is still going strong as i promised

thank you for being so kind, missing you!
so have I been, I have put 250 hrs in already but have encountered many issues.
Besides maintenance, and shop stand filling/ basket emptying, I have not been playing boundless for the past 2-3 weeks.
I have also been working on learning the API and coding of some other game⦠and working on a server for it. it will be my side project/game besides Boundless.
Of courseā¦they both released, but much like Boundless you can tell how the base game will be.
That said, there are two things for me at least that sets Boundless apart. The building and the open world universe.
Hytale at least from what I have gathered wonāt be a large persistent universe with all servers connected but who knows Iāll remain hopeful.
Nothing will crush Minecraft itās an untouchable beast and most likely always will be. I donāt even think a Minecraft 2 will even crush it.
Anyways, I look forward to many games on the horizon⦠Including the possibility of an update Boundless.
Play what brings you joy ā¦thatās all I say.
Letās not forget that @Fante and me have more accounts than this peak. Lmao. So we can really skew those numbers if we sign in. We arenāt the only ones. I bet 10 of those could be one person farming right now.
I loved enshrouded. They keep working on it. Iām skeptical about their new āroad mapā that is a low quality picture of what we should expect. Iāll be very impressed if they pull it off. Nightingale ⦠ugh. Thatās a disappointment for me. Iām really curious of how Dune awakening will be like. There are so many
Potential great games coming out this year.
Considering you can create functionally unlimited toons with a single key, and keys are/were around for less than $2, it might be interesting to know how many active players have never used more than one set of slots.
How about Vintage Story and Dual Universe? The first one is offering a Minecraft-like experience, and the second one offers a persistent MMO universe. I only tried the first.
Minecraft-like = a game genre for me, defined by Minecraft. Probably more correct would be to call it āvoxel crafting survivalā?
Vintage Story is missing the slopes of Boundless and the beautiful world generation - which is understandable since the world is āmadeā at runtime. So, it must be a really optimized game by now.
Kind regards,
