I explain myself :
I’m on Sochaltin I planet and made some Big Letters on the ground with Gleam that could be read from space (My Clan Name, “Fr - Clan”, to be precise so nothing that could need to be censured)
As i worked with letters made of 3x5 Lopins, i though it was too small so I made it be twice bigger ( 6x10)
A big part of it appear correctly… but the n remain similar to a r even after enlargement of the missing part (I waited to see the “update” of some other part of the message to be sure and saw some of my changes) and there are other things that do not appear on the atlas.
What am i mssing ? Is it a bug ? Is there a rule i do not know ?
Have you gone to the sanctum or logged out & back in? I think the beacon info/labels take a minute or two to refresh. I’m not sure how often or how complete the atlas view refreshes. It seems like it’s fairly instant though.
I went several time to sanctum , on other planets, i logged out and back in.
I played several hours also with no change.
I Play on a PC but my brother Playing on PS4 see exactely the same.
I also have to say that i went to the nearest planet ( Arie) and got the same missing parts.
I did tryed to unplot and replot those missing zones; to remove and put again that gleam without success.
Without explaination there was the upper part of the C missing on the beggining, that appeared at a moment so i though this part was missing because of the refresh… but the n is still missing
If I remember correctly 1x1 pixel on the atlas is a single chunk (2x2 plots or 16x16 blocks). Maybe your “pixels” aren’t aligned to the chunk borders? Just guessing here.
A bit like this
Could’ve also been that the pixels are 1x1 plots (8x8 blocks), can’t find the thread where the info is.
well, gentlemen, My problem is more that : on that place the “pixels” are replaced by water on the Atlas
and I made a 2 X 2 blocs to be completely sure
It’s like if there was nothing changed on those places for the game
If by “Map” you mean “Atlas” : i already use it but nothing appear : i mean it’s water … not a blanck one.
It’s NOT the already corrected bug of the white map / atlas but an update of it on some places and not on some others.
Well : if it’s 2X2 normally the “n” should appear correctly beacause i used a grid of 6X10 to do each letters but this is the only one having a part not appearing.
Also : i made a long white line at the side and … only a part of it appear … a 2x 18 (or 19)
Those have to be manually exported they dont update automatically.
One of the modders had a way to get images of the planet out of sanctum but thats not being done anymore.
Maybe wonderstruck should add a button we can click to export the texture for a planet we are viewing from the sanctum so players can maintain their own maps for whatever planet they want.
new “update” on my screens : I made some changes to the white part that did not show itself and … some part suddently Popped … I think there is something with the level of construction but do not have any 100% clue
Thanks for the screenshots. The same thing seems to happen when viewing the world from the sanctum. I don’t know if there are any limitations with what can be displayed in game, but I’ve added it to the database anyway.
well : i don’t know how the Map / picture for the atlas is generated but i think it’s the same one used on the sanctum / other planet view so by correlation : if it appear on the atlas : it appear in sanctum AND from another planet.
I was wondering 2 things : I there a “memory” of old plot made by other players ? that could explain that as long as it is not “plotted” again it appear “void” (meaning like the original) on the bitmap generated and consequently : as long as you did non taken the good level of ploting (I mean in space) it did not generate because the “void memory”" is over the player’s plot (i don’t know if i’m clear but i see it like if there was a layer of “void” canceling all the view that is under it)
Or simply : being at the level of the sea not allow to make the map : but there : it seem to not function : the letters would NEVER appear.
