Perhaps what could alleviate this issue from popping up on the forums is an automated email to a player when they get banned with a general reason as to why it happened.
Maybe even an option to petition the ban if they feel it is unjustified? What if a player was reported multiple times because someone didn’t agree with the style of their build?

Nah dev won’t ban people for this kind of reason,
They also have ability to track all the text log in game.
So i don’t think the case you mention will happen.
Also if a hole or randomly block on the air, that will be very obvious griefing i think.
People who get ban mostly they did something bad to others, so i will say they deserve this kind of punishment.
No way they waste other people’s time for fun, and they don’t get any punishment.
Tiny Serenity deserved it, he is just playing the innocent card. He wants sympathy. I give him a little… I will feel sorry when his beacons expire and I take all of his stuff. I will place a dirt block, right next to where it was. That way, whenever people walk by I will be like…nah who am I kidding, I don’t care. He was a troll, he would try to troll people Myself included in the Ultima hub… I would just ignore him and go about my business. He was a Full-Time Troll.

Right, and banning someone from the game should be a very serious decision to make but the devs are looking at every situation from their perspective and may not see the whole picture even with all the analytics.
I think a simple explanation as to why someone got banned isn’t too much to ask.
I don’t know exactly how the banning procedures work but human behavior is a funny thing sometimes and I think every action is worth investigating.

I feel the same as well, usually people need to experienced more troll to realize how troll’s acting.
They don’t acting normal, so better don’t judge them in normal person’s perspective.

The recent trolled we met he keep mention he didn’t bomb our city,
But guess what, as we found all the stolen power coils inside his home with exactly same numbers and types.
Also bomb in the storage. + he unlock his first bomb achievement when our city get destroy first time.
And for 2-3 days every time our city get bomb he was around it.
Trying to plot above other’s but find out he can’t XD
Try to regen the city by regen bomb, but find out he can’t XD
So yeah, no way i will believe troll’s words.

They did make a lot of investigation,
This why usually took them 1- 2 month to ban a troll.
To be honest i do feel they need a bigger team to do that.
Also how do you know he is telling the true here?
Maybe he knows exactly why he get baned lol
Dev’s won’t share it here for sure, but maybe they already send the guy warning.
As i know, they will always send warning email first.
2- 3 times and then they baned players.

This. Yes. Plus we all have off days where we want to cause some chaos, some of us more than others. Let him in and if he acts a fool again… perma ban him without repeal
Never liked bullys or trolls ingame. Even when they are a leaders because that’s worse. In a game like Boundless, it’s incomprehensible.
I agree. However we all need a little compasion too. Once they say they learned their leason the first time… give them a chance to prove it. If they mess up again… forget them and be done with it

If the devs send a player warnings before banning then that is good enough for me.
