Have you ever considered, only on higher level worlds, having creatures attack/ damage builds? Perhaps a meteor lands nearby and the creatures attack buildings as well as players?
Only when players are present to defend.
Might be nice to be able to build some base defenses too. Pits, traps, slingbow turrets?
Would encourage different priorities for builds there, and have a way to destroy some building materials and provide need to repair rebuild.
This should be a thing for next tier, but not as in they’ll show up and level your base. Should be easy’is to defend with a couple hours of prep.
I would expect it to take several hits to destroy a block or blocks, like iron hammer strength.
But maybe the creatures could have a leader that directs an initial spitter bombardment, followed by a hopper rush to breach the walls?
Yeah, separate tier or type of planet. There are metal and coal, this could be invasion type. So you chose to opt in.
Might take a guild to be able to maintain a capital there.
I don’t think block destruction by creatures is something a lot of people are going to like, even if it’s on a higher tier world.
Personally wouldn’t mind it if we were able to craft an automated turret that can be connected to Spark Cores and run off Spark. The hardest thing to develop for the idea is the AI system of the turret.
As far as turns though, slingbow turrets are pretty given for an entry level turret idea. I would love to have some sort of cannon. 2 or 3 different turrets would be awesome to have.
