Beacon regeneration

that wasnt mentioned, if he can it isnt a problem. but the servers, one of the devs said that they have multiple servers running. so one world might be on 1 world and 1 might be on another.

But the beacon would be on the same world all the time right? So this shouldn’t become a problem?

i enter beacon on selta. 1 server. i place 15 blocks. i leave. 1 dude stays. i teleport to palckn. another server. the person leaves. what happens with the items?

When you leave you regain your items, when the beacon closes/resets the blocks disappear.

so you regen your items when your leaves but your blocks stays? what is to stop me from pausing the inventory again and then mine some more blocks and place them, since they would also just give me the items again, repeat for infinite profit.

But the cannot leave the beacon. When it closes everything is reverted back to the earlier state.

well. if you make that option i think you are correct that items shouldnt drop from whatever you break, i just think it would be kinda cool for pvp fights but also things like building contests.

Sigh

lets try this again:

  1. When you activate the beacon the area is saved
1.1 When beacon is closed or reset it will return to its previous stat
1.2 Nothing made inside the beacon in this period of time will be saved
  2. When someone enter the beacon their character is saved
2.1 When the player is registered outside the beacon their old character will be loaded
2.2 This also counts if the character is inside the beacon while it is reset

You can place blocks inside the beacon and you gain blocks when destroying them but they will still be deleted when you leave the beacon.

Is this clear enough?

We don’t yet know how beacon control will work for basic beacons even, so there is no reason to speculate on such a detail just yet.

It’s reasonable to believe that teleporting to another world would not be possible without use of a portal to do so. Two solutions could solve this.

  1. portals and warps may not be activated inside of this type of beacon.
  2. player’s coordinates are tracked, and players with coordinates outside of the beacon have their inv. reverted to the timestamped inv. This would be triggered by portaling or warping outside of the beacon. warps within the beacon would not trigger this effect.

Impossible- every time you cross the boundary, your inv returns to the state it was in when you entered. Even if you duplicate 1 million blocks inside the beacon, no body can pass outside of the beacon with anything except what they entered with, and when no body is left in the beacon, they area clears. It’s maintenance free, duplication proof and (hypothetically) easy on the system. I used a plug in that did exactly these things on MC and it was one of the lightest programs we used.

Hmmm. you are right, i dont think there is a single loophole in that solution, neat
