Better way to find friends

PROBLEM: boundless is BIG and the current way to find friends is ok. but you need to be able to connect with your friends if their on a diffrent planet or the other side of the one your on.
SOLOUTION: a item where you can broadcast a signal that other players can pick up. you can then trade with them or send friend requests.

In an upcoming update, your steam friends will automatically be added to your friends list, which will allow you to warp directly to each other. Will that be enough?

Indeed, I think that has been implemented. Also, when boundless releases you will be able to start in the same area as steam friends I believe, which will be nice.

If you are friends on Steam, the game will import your Steam friends automatically. You can then warp to them at any time with a Warp Conduit and setting them as the destination.
