Block placement distance reduced?

Yeah apologies, i can understand that getting it told would atleast be nice, but as was also said above, if they didnt announce it then people wouldnt know that it was different at one point.

It was a bit of a shock, but I just took it as a sign of progress. We knew it wouldn’t last forever.

To make up for it we have some smarter block placement stuff coming. The distance tweak makes more sense alongside this. (You’ll need to see it to understand why.) But it’s worth adding both are a work in progress. So hold off on any final judgements until you’ve seen everything together, and we’ve been through a few tweaking iterations.

The new block placement stuff coming soon is really smart and makes building more fun, experimental and much less fiddly.(also optimised for short distance placement, hence the change). It’s also something I haven’t seen in any other voxel game before, so I think you guys are going to think the change is for the better :blush:
