Lost Ark is a great mobile game … just didn’t enjoy it. I played it prior to the US release a bit and then got it when it was released in the US and still didn’t enjoy it.
I did have fun about 10% of time.
I do realize it’s not a mobile game.
@Phyre-Fly I had been noticing you weren’t as active lately or at least I havent ran into you much.
It’s not for everybody I’m at the Mega grind were everything is at a 1% chance of succeeding there alot of timestamps and waiting for research to finish but I’m already 50% done with content going for 100% then waiting for new content to release next month
But if you like Diablo or PoE you’ll defiantly like LA it does fill like a mixture of both of them Story is Amazing end game content is Healthy there is a portion of Ptw but even if you don’t have money plenty of opportunity I haven’t spent a dime (excluding Founders pack) I’ve already reached whale status (my opinion Diablo V has some competition)
But good game aside I’ll will be back to Boundless I just need new blocks to build with and LA provides that for me right now boop
You fail to mention how much of a grind Lost Ark is and how much of a PITA the RNG going from +13 to +15 is.
It’s more an Action RPG than your standard RPG. The story is not very developed and really the only thing I felt Lost Ark had done well was the combat.
The constant filler quests feel pretty mundane and the sheer amount of these filler quests you have to suffer through to get to the good stuff wear thin pretty quickly.
On top of this the progression felt very lackluster, the armor was pretty ugly, and the grind fest only continues to get worse.
In the end it has no real hook and doesn’t really give you a true reason to grind over and over. It’s loot isn’t even decent and while some things do get slightly better at end game … Its rather painful to get there and to me not worth it.
Not a bad game if you want to not to think about a game while playing it, trudge through an ok story, and never feel challenged.
Yeah, alot has been going on the past several months, and then the week before last my sister passed away. We just had her funeral this past Friday. So I’ve really not been into the game that much. I do need to get back on for awhile and build my oort back up.
I had 7 gleam chests full of oort shards. But where I’ve not been playing much, I have gotten on to fill my portals and my beacons. I down to maybe 12 stacks of oort shards now. Time to shut a bunch of my portals down until I can get them built back up.
February 15th, Star Wars: The Old Republic released their 7.0 patch which changed the game mechanics a lot and added new material, quests, and areas to explore. The patch was 5 gb. A lot of content. I took a break from Boundless to play the new content.
That’s what I’ve been doing for nearly a month.
But I did announce my plans recently to start a new build. It’s in the works and it will be a tribute to @anon34275467 Raxxian Sanctuary as I will be using the same color material as was used in its construction.
I was ready to quit January 2020 when @AeneaGames passed. But thanks to @Bethlehem and @Spoodle with their welcoming me to Brown Town, I stuck around.
I’ll take a break now and then, because if I stuck with Boundless 24/7 I’d burn out.
Variety is the spice of life…so get out more and try new things.
After you have played the game like 3 years straight i would say its reasonable quit cause of “there no players”. Personally my Best times In game were with people… Now its more like a building simulator… Mmo aspect Pretty much goner.
