Since there are no treasures & we aren’t able to place storage containers outside of a beacon…
it would be fun if we could make player-made gift geocaches. Maybe we could personalize the box a little bit with a few letters or colors.
It would regen just like anything else that’s not in a beacon, if it’s not found - or possibly go back into a unclaimed cache chest at our home beacon.
I’d love to place some underwater (maybe they have a glowing aura, if I choose for it to?), place some in trees, some in caves, they could be used for player-made contests & mini-games…
It would also be great if we had a chance to collect a rare seed/bulb drop from exos (from mining, collecting surface resources, etc)…
You would take this seed back to your base and plant it in a special plant pot.
You would have no idea how long it will take to grow & you would have no idea what the item is. It could be anything in the game - special oorty, gold bar, gleam, pants, hoverboard, oort…

Well we can hide stuff on exos. I’ve hidden a few compact rift and umbris blocks around on exos, but nobody has posted to forums so I guess they despawned.
I think it would be cool if there were some items that could be found only on exos hidden by the devs. Maybe rank 500 hammers with 5 perks or something. Nothing too crazy, and ideally not a block type.
Ps major you posted a JPEG with a checkerboard background, not a transparent gif/png. Unless the forums did that. Haha
