Can you actually change the becon color?

I have noticed in the beacon UI there is a tab thats called colour and it asks you to put gleam in the fuel box given to change the color of the flame. I love the idea but i cant figure out how much gleam needs to be added to make the change. I have tried every amount from 1-100 and it wont accept the gleam and make it change color. How much gleam do i need? Or is this feature not fully implemented yet?

put a colored RAW gleam in the slot. The color change is very very subtle, so you just have to experiment for yourself.

Yes, raw gleam. Does the flame change at all? I have seen that the color of the plots when holding the plotter changes though. So I thought that was it, and I like that.

@knightsb like i said i have put raw gleam in the beacon in every possible amount from 1-100. It is not even possible to put refined in there :joy::joy:. @Swede hmmmm maybe thats what it changes. When you put the gleam in there was it subtracted from the amount you had in you inventory or did the gleam just go back in you inventory? For me everytime i try and fuel it with blue gleam for example it just spits it back out in my inventory like it dosent accept it at all.

I got the gleam back. So that should be correct.

The beacon colour is just for when you’re viewing it with the plotter. It allows you to have different coloured beacons right next to each other, for which you can assign different permissions. For example, if only want to allow someone to help you build in a particular area, you assign that area it’s own beacon, change the colour (the raw gleam is returned to you), start plotting from within that area and then give them persmission etc.

To continue expanding a coloured beacon, you need to be standing within that beacons plots.
