Can't Find Flint

At the point where I need flint to progress, and even build torches for light in order to mine. I’ve been digging through sand, gravel, metamorphis rock, can’t find it! Anyone know where to get this?

Sometimes you get it when breaking rock I think, but the easiest way is to find the basic rocks (surface elements) and break those.

You should get it from mining rocks. . make sure it is not hidden in you inventory with opal and rock salt. These all go into the same inventory slot.

ugh no, I have none. Sucks, maybe its rare on my world? Idk, my neighbor already built like eight stone crucibles though.

Getting it probably depends on luck, as said find the small boulders (in caves and on the surface) and break those.

There are loose rocks on the surface, like flowers and desert swords. These are the items you want to get they drop flint. Alternatively, anyone playing for a bit will no doubt have a dump full of flint and will gladly spot you a few / hundred

Well I finally found one, but I have a disproportionate amount of flint compared to how much stone I have now.

Ah, figured it out. Started to notice the small boulders everywhere. Basically guaranteed flint each time. Thanks for the help!

  1. Buy a “buy basket” at a shop somewhere.
  2. Set it up to buy flint at 1c each (anything above 0 would do, although 0 would work too)
  3. Limit how many you want by limiting the buy budget
  4. Mention its existence and location on the forums.
  5. Drown in flint.

There’s plenty of flint for sale at Grump Store (portal from Portal Seekers Biitula hub) for 5c each if you’re still struggling to find enough.

Haven’t really needed it much more yet, but I would definitely like to have a backup supply.

You definitely can get it by digging out gravel with a shovel

Small boulders always drop flint and are fairly common on the surface
