Still wishing there were ways to advance our characters outside of the skill tree… like permanent long term goals to reach for other than filling that 5th skill tab. Simple things, like having permanent jump epic or light source epic no matter which skill tab you use.
Does this make skills pointless? No. It wouldn’t include any core build skills that increase your damage or survivability, only fluff and filler skills.
My goal isn’t so much to “get skills for free” as it is to have something to reach for. I don’t even want jump epic, but if there was a character advancement sequence to get this trait (think Sims) you’d better believe I’d spend time trying to get it!
