Chiseling refined umbris

cant get my refined umbris to a diamond
i can hit it with a latice chisel and it wont let me bevel it is it bugged or does it not go to a diamond

rift gave me a bit of an issue also but eventually it let me do it

I think gemstones and up can only be chiseled with gem chisels.
