Snowball fights are fun. You don’t die, just have to dodge snowballs from spitters and hit them a bunch of times.
I’ve been pitching the idea to let players invite other players to one on one snowball duels as a peaceful form of pvp for the last two years. Probably will this year too 
Someone bought out my snowball shopstand on raxxa. I refilled it though. They’re still left from the first oortmas when I made most of a glacier into obsessive amounts of snowballs.
They won’t be rare or hard to get 
Brown host a hunt at 8pm UTC daily. We tried to pick a time that was easier for EU people to join.
Oh, cool! How do I find that? It is at 21:00 for me I can make it some days.

Every day at Brown Town. We have portals everywhere. TNT mall section, EZPZ, Grandeur, DK Mall, ODF, AluTech, Pharoas Kingdom. Or I can send one of my super helpful Brownies on a seek (and destroy) mission for you.
Heck no. We are doing a very British thing where we go to a Christmas Cottage in the countryside for a week or so.

Hmm, if it is like previous years, then maybe I should do sort of what I did with the last Gleambow and save spots… 
But of course, all the Snowball meteors are on T1s & T2s, so unlike Gleambow, not going to be hunt platforms to use. However, low tier worlds have a big selection, I should probably start scouting and saving the easiest ones now maybe?
Anybody interested in the tokens if I do it? If enough interest I’ll do it for sure, then put them out free on plinths. I DO still want twinkles, and even at high prices really couldn’t get many people selling me red canes. With location tokens to centers of regions, maybe could make this easier on us.
Ok, given my resource token plinths on Raxxa were really out of date anyways, figured I’d swap it to this and start working on it. BUT, something hit me too…
If it is like before, T1 & T2s, and sovereigns get meteors like regular worlds, shouldn’t they then get these too if they qualify? 
If that were to be the case, then could make this a LOT more fun and easy here… roll a T1 rental or two with biomes selected to be easiest for this, make a bunch of hunt platforms (they won’t bother anybody after all on a sovereign, I’ve got plenty of plots, I’d just make 'em quick as possible and let 'em expire with the world), the beacons would let me keep the locations off my main location list (more spaces!).
This is really tempting me… I know it is an off-shot, buuuttt…
@Leahlemoncakes - When it is time for Oortmas event info to start coming out, could we know if the Sovereigns will be in play, assuming the snowball fight thing will be like previous years?

I’ve never done an Oortmas, but I see that snowballs are important and are crafted from frozen blocks, so I want to quickly plug the Chromis I (TNT Sov wall or PS Biitula lower level) glacier regen & free farm. It has both a Bob style regen area and also if you mine through to the other side, there is a good safe open mining area.

Often we get announcements about events a few days in advance of the start… if that happens here, where there is confirmation that Sovereigns are in play and it works the same as last time, I probably will spring for a $20 world on this, so larger groups can use it. Trying not to spend much more as I mentioned in other threads, but this idea has me excited again! I think it should be pretty easy to get a decent world for this without retrying too - plenty of more flat, limited tree/bush grass/sand biomes on the low tiers. I’m sort of already strategizing this in my head… wouldn’t matter what planet I got it around either, I’d try to get it linked to the TNT hub if I did it, main portal to a larger platform with token stands, some portals (edit: actually, since it is a two week event, could probably afford enough Oort for JUST portals, no messing with tokens!), snowballs, ect. (haha, sorry, getting carried away with this brainstorm!)

Yeah we did a test too. No forgey.
snowballs in both hands + speed brew … quite effective. Don’t worry about trying to get snowballs in advance, they are super easy to make once the event starts.
Edit: video was shot without speed brews, but speed brew do work well
Also, need to approach it a bit differently than normal meteors… dodge what you can and if your hit count (embarrasement i think it was) gets to high you can just run around a bit (or dig a hole and cover yourself in it) and it will go back down then you can reengage.
