[Closed] Universal capital city discussion

I like this design, I think it is a good mix of modern and fantasy

Yeah, prob not gonna watch it though, movies made on anime’s usually tend to completely butcher the anime.

I already said this idea.

I’m not sure if we’re doing a linear/square city or more of a circle one, but if we were to do a circular city this could be a good point of reference for the road system. I would just like to get a clear understanding as to what the layout/shape of our city is going to be sometime soon.

IĀ“d like something more ā€˜random’/irregular. Like real cities (excluding american ones) are built.

I’m the complete opposite, how are things perfectly symmetrical most of the time. This is no exception I think the city needs to be symmetrical

What should be symmetrical? The roads, or everything?

The roads, would be nearly impossible to make everything symmetrical.

I hear ya haha, just had to check ;). Granted I think we should figure out the general shape of the city, should it be random/in mix with the terrain, linear/square/grid, or circular like a web? If there are any other suggestions to the shape, please share.

Your right, this is a huge part of the city,we’ve got to figure this out. I say circular.

I say circular in mix with the terrain

I agree @Predatoxic, I like the circular design but I do believe in preserving the natural beauty of the landscape. That being said I’m sure we could work with the rivers and mountains, though I’m sorry @G_Sage but I don’t think that would allow for a totally symmetrical city :crying_cat_face:. Then again I’m not a very good builder, so you never know what we those great builders out there can accomplish

An octagon would work well w/ the sloped blocks

Not to get back off-topic, but if you have watched attack on Titan, you’ll see that they have circular wall surrounding the entire nation, witha river running through, and it’s still symmetrical.

That’s not bad.
Are we all on board with there being districts.

Maybe #1 from @Nyuudles artwork?

This is a little bit of both, symmetrical and asymmetric

I have and I loved it ;). So that’s one way we can work with it and even utilize it as a form of transportation.

I think the last one will do best for the district idea. But the third one I also like.
