I would agree.

Do we want this to be a big world with lots to explore or a small one mostly filled with the capital city?

well I wouldn’t consider myself a great builder but a good one
Something i did

I’d like to have a big city but still space for other players to do their own thing on this world

We can’t all be great builders but I think even good builds can have some one else go over them and make them great. This will be a team effort so it is bound to be amazing

thats a good enough level

i know but what i have seen from capitals so far is modern buildings that just don’t fit or have next to no detail

Agreed! In my opinion not only good builders should be allowed to help building…

sure thing but it needs to look somewhat like it should be there

this is what some good friends of mine do https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkKK5zvsg90

I definitely don’t think it should be modern.

Just because we are building with square blocks doesn’t mean we have to have square buildings.

I remember building things like this (smaller though) when I was still playing mc… I just can’t build things like that without flying  I’ll do my best to try getting on the same level of detail again

Looks more like modern and medieval/fantasy builders to me. Yes the medieval builds do look more beautiful, but they follow patterns just as much as the modern builds do.

Modern

Fantasy

I’m sorry I just think that calling modern builders ā€œaverageā€ while glorifying fantasy builders is just making one side more superior than the other. They’re two completely different styles.

love the fantasy build

Also I love these ā€œpillar mountainsā€ and kinda want to include them in our build

The fantasy building is big and stuff but i don’t like it tbh  still wanna build fantasy style though

I want to let people discuss world options till tomorrow, then we’ll take our ideas to the devs and see what they can do for us. THEN we look at designs. I’ll go into a little detail of how I wanted to coordinate our efforts here:

1st we’d look at the capital region and figure out the borders for regions like spawn quarter, trade quarter, industrial quarter, farms, mines, etc. We’d map those areas out and plot roads and infrastructure. Aqueducts, roads, and walls would be built first.
Next we’d set up a block warehouse with our chosen block colors for a consistent look. Buildings would be outlined and mapped with their roles and functions predetermined before being built. Each region will have it’s head builder to help modify and oversee construction. This way, we can coordinate a small group of people to employ a large number of helpers in completing this task. We should be able to maintain a coherent theme throughout. There will be plenty of jobs that everybody can help out with no matter their talents and skills.

In my past experience, I’ve always had world edit tools to aid in repetitive labor, so without it I want to estimate our build time at two months, tops. A lot of that depends on the number of people that come help and the amount of hours that can be spent on it daily.

They’re not suggestions for the universal capital. They’re just examples of how both styles use sequences and patterns in their ways.

Oh sorry, I thought we already agreed on how the world looks like
