Compass death marker

I would like to suggest that after death some sort of indicator on the compass should point out the direction of my demise.

I can’t recall how many times I have almost completed a meteorite only to die, and then be dumped a random distance away in a random direction, then either not being able to find my way back to the meteorite at all, or it taking so long that I find some enterprising citizen has found it before I have.

So not only have I spent the time, and then lose 10k+ xp, I end up missing out on the little reward that would make it worth while.

All because the game drops me at some random location with no indication of how to get back.

I don’t have any issue with these consequences really, but just give me a hint of where my lifeless corpse was scooped up from!

If I am completely missing something and there is a way to tell where I have been placed in relation to where I was, please let me know, you might just be helping to keep some controllers intact…

It appears that death reapawns almost always drop you to the south, sometimes a bit southeast… not a huge help but narrows your search from 360’ to about 90’

Thanks dude!

That should help immensely.

You should receive your thank you letter from my controller in the post soon.

Also an active meteorite compass would be awesome too!

shrug The glowing steam trail rising from where the meteor crashed is usually a great indicator of where the meteor is.

Yes, it is, but it disappears when you die!

Or rather when you fail the meteorite.
