Thanks for chairs 
We are a tiny part of Russian community, but we are suffering from the settlement-connection problem. Our plots are all connected, but some of them are having “outside settlement” status. We tried to reconnect them, played a bit with prestige, but nothing helped.

Yeah, we really need your help. Our settlement is slowly dying because of that

Make sure that when you connect that there is atleast 2 plots wide where its connecting, otherwise it’ll break because it thinks its a road.

Could you possibly take a picture from top down of your plots touching the other beacon ?

It’s seems that the higher prestige settlements can’t absorb plots into it. The smaller prestige settlement has to be the one to connect to you. Meaning place a new master beacon between what you want to connect to. Plot it with it seems at least 8 plots and build to 10k prestige. Then plot out from there to connect the 2 settlements. I think they put a fail safe into the absorption code so that a very large settlement can’t just expand absorbing anything in its path. A type of anti-greifing thing. We tried connecting ours to a friend’s build and it wouldn’t take. It even took the prestige away from the guy doing the expansion. Our only option at that point is to have our friend expand his plots to our settlement. If that makes any sense.

Prestige doesn’t affect connection you can link any beacon.
