Connection on Alcyon

For the last week the connection on Alcyon has been horrible.

I set up base there a few months back, and hadn’t really had any issues until now.

Was away on holiday for 2 weeks, when I came back and played on Friday 18th, from then until now I have been disconnected many more times than I had in the whole of the months prior to that.

Seems to be getting progressively worse!

Edit: The chuckle I get from being told ‘Your connection to this world is unstable’ is beginning to lessen, I thought that would never fail to amuse me!

What platform are you playing on?

I’m on ps4

Normally, I would suggest pressing F1 on a keyboard and opening the Latency graph on PC or Mac, but there’s no option to do so on PS4. What’s your Chunk Download Rate set to? Could you try lowering that to see if it makes a difference?

It’s on max, but it has always been on max.

I’ll lower it to ultra.

Lowering the chunk download rate by 1 level hs made no noticeable difference.

I dunno if it helps, but this morning, for the last 90 minutes, it’s been fine.

I don’t think I’ve had one disconnect.

So in the mornings (UK), it seems to be OK, but any other time it is way more regular than it was 4 weeks ago.

There have been times I’ve had to quit, because it was constant unstable connection.

I have been getting it on exos as well, though not as often.
