I’ve been playing on steam since late April. I’ve been using a steam controller that I’ve had for a while and it’s worked fine this whole time (but I definitely don’t recommend them to anyone because that trackpad is super weird). However now my movement joystick has started ghosting and it’s been driving me crazy.
Long story short I’m in the market for a new controller that works well with boundless that won’t break the bank.
Any suggestions?
Pretty sure an Microsoft Xbox 1 controller works good
PS4 controllers do too. Tho I would recommend the Astro C40 but it’s expensive soo
This is what I use. Plug n play. Pretty cheap at walmart.
Xbox one for me too works great!
Also if you are having issues with the steam controller consider trying different configurations there are a few player made ones that might make it better.
I’ll almost certainly be heading out to grab an Xbox one controller tomorrow. (This ghosting is frustrating to the point of making the game unplayable 
) @FireAngelDth that Astro C40 looks amazing if only the price wasn’t so steep (considering I don’t currently play anything else besides boundless lol)

Oh it’s amazing imo. I love it. Plus if you happen to get drift on one of the sticks you can use the program to adjust the sensitivity and dead zone on it. Or you could just replace that specific module if you break it. It’s comfortable too and the battery life is good as well. Two different profiles on the controller as well so you could remap all the buttons on one of the for a specific game and use the other for general etc.
