Uh, 7 months is not terribly long to do full modeling, texturing, animation, ai, etc for multiple models. It’s doable, of course, but I imagine they’re going to have to cut some of these concepts out of the initial release.

The devs keep the rate of updates and the release will be in 2016 with the start of the beta at the end of this year (which is something I can live with well), or …

The devs are the pure evil and hold back some real big updates and then stab is in the back with some monster sneak attacks in form of big content and we reach the goal this year (which is something I even more prey for

We’re building a big family of cohesive creatures, anything that doesn’t make 1.0, will make 1.1 then 1.2, etc. The # we get into 1.0 really depends on how long it takes to get each creature polished up to the right level. So not sure at the moment. It’s mainly art limited as the AI logic is reconfigurable and reusable across different creatures. (ie. parametrisable “running away” can work for all creatures.) The coding cost will increase as we give more unique AI to each creature.

Do you have thoughts on like ‘‘stages’’ of creatures? something that would be awesome is if you could get a pet cub or egg and it would grow from pub, young, to adult. things like this, evolution or whatever you call it.
i know it makes 3 times the work so i doubt it, but it would be pretty epic if you pet leveled up and got a visual difference over time

Yes, at least age steps (over 4 instsnces) would be cool. May be there are different sizes for them as well (for example for alpha or elder animals) with altered stats. Hach, would be sooooo beautiful
