So this is more a question. I know that creatures can’t spawn in beaconed plots. I also know from experience that they can spawn near taken plots. So I was wondering, if I make a square with plots and leave the center open, can creatures spawn within that center non-beaconed area? Cause I think that would be a cool way to just spawn creatures for the slaughter.
Yes and no. Creatures also do not spawn within a close proximity to the player, so if you are within that space, they will not spawn. If you are far enough away from that space, they will spawn inside of it, but they are equally likely to spawn outside of it all around you.
Better solution:
My beacon is in the middle of a lake. When I’m crafting inside my house, creatures keep spawning around my position filling the water with free bones and meat.
The only downside: My hunting skill is still pathetic
Mmm meat lakes.
I get a lot of pond meat this way to.
That’s what I do now, but I want to actually get the attacking skill up.
been doin this for awhile as well lol (its why my house has a lake right underneath it )
That sounds like a line from Shrek
Push any living creature you see into the lake.
We feed the lake so the lake feeds us.
The scenery is very bucolic but don’t get fooled.
At night I can hear the agony of the poor souls swallowed by the sinister being. When the morning comes, all that remains is a carefully sliced pile of flesh floating on the surface.
Maybe I should leave this place before “the thing” look for much larger prey to satisfy his hunger.
Oh, that’s dark and horrific.
I like that!
Reminds me of this song
if you want to get your attack level up and get your loot easy, just sit on a high ledge where the you can’t be hit with projectiles and or get rammed by wildstock. the creatures you shoot will run right to your center but can’t reach you or hit you. the only little guys you still have to worry about is the cuttletrunks that fly.
